Future Planning

Labor Day.png

Planning for the future comes easy to some, and for others not so much. Often, I’ve found looking at others people's goals and directions motivate me to take a mental inventory of where I want to be. I start asking myself questions like,

  • What are my goals?

  • How can I break those goals into more achievable benchmarks?

  • Is there a way for me to monitor my progress?

  • What do I do if I get off track?

  • Where do I see myself in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?

While these questions are tailored to the individual, they can be adapted to an agency or business as well. Often when it comes to business, we only worry about the bottom line. Dollars and Cents are what are necessary for a business to run, but it doesn’t define success or progress. Even though it is important to ask questions of your agency or business, like, “What major projects do I need to accomplish in the next five years?”, it is important to be able to measure your growth in a healthy way too. “Are my employees happy?”, “Am I treating my customers fairly?” These questions are harder to measure, but worth their weight in salt.

Take some time to investigate yourself and your agency, and put yourself on a path that leads you to success, both Financial and Emotional.
